Mrs. E. J. Perry is visiting her sons in New Haven and Bethany.
Dr. Lewis Barnes, Nathan J. Wilcoxson and R. B. Limburner went to Hartford last Tuesday to appear before the committee in opposition to the proposed new county but the hearing was postponed till next week.
A company of ladies on a sleigh ride from Ansonia stopped at the Oxford House last Saturday evening.
The Mutual Union Telegraph Co. are putting up an additional wire, making in all 13 on the line.
The ladies society of St. Peter’s Church is to meet at the residence of Burrett Davis on Friday of this week.
The Ladies’ Society of the Congregational church will meet in the vestibule on Thursday afternoon and evening, February 23rd.
There was a large attendance last Sunday afternoon at St. Peter’s church on the occasion of the visit of the Bishop. The Rt. Rev. was accompanied by Rev. Mr. Widdemer and Mr. an Mrs. John Lindley from Ansonia. Five persons were confirmed.
